I have been slowly working on a small Rose Sketchbook over the past year, it will be over 50 pages of just roses. It will have guest pages from some of the best tattooers in the world. The few guys that have asked to be a part, I have asked for two reasons, 1: distinction in their roses (styles I personally love). 2: They are friends of mine whom which I respect and Im proud to have them involved. (TH,MW,CG,LC) to name a few .) Stay tuned.

In My opinion southern California style tattoo or street inspired T-shirts have been super played out in the last few years, I’m over seeing skulls on everything and shitty script lettering. Its just too redundant at this point. but…
Tim Hendricks new line on the other hand is a breath of fresh style. Street and tattoo inspired slightly but unique enough to be different from the overplayed stuff that I’m seeing too much of these days. But its no surprise really coming from Tim, as much like his tattoos he puts a magical and artistic touch to all his projects.
The only clothing brands that I support are; Reven, Us Versus Them, Tribal Gear, To Die For, and now saltwatertattoo. These brands are more then just some rich people trying to be cool or make more money, These are brands that come from up out of the streets by real dudes making shit they believe in. Life and struggle inspired. Respect C/S

I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a Koi fish and some Japanese finger waves. This guy here was with his friend and they both were in their “whites” from the night before, both stained from a long night of NY partying. True sailors, and the best part is during the tattoo, him and I exchanged what we each knew about the navy and its strong ties to traditional tattooing, the meaning of swallows, nautical stars, and classic images like that. I was impressed with his knowledge on the subject, it was great. Good for him, its cool to see a young guy respecting some tradition.

Jose started with some lettering “Unforgettable” on his lower arm, it was his first tattoo and at that time I don’t think he thought he would go all the way with a sleeve, but thats how it starts. Next we added the mermaid with a little bit of Japanese finger waves, after that we added the koi, more water, and the peonies. So we finally finished this thing the other day. Thank you Jose for your openness and your consistency. Good client and a fun tattoo.
I was so shocked to hear that Junior Seau has been killed. As a young kid growing up in Oceanside California we didn’t have too many heroes, and a lot of us looked up to the gangsters and top drug dealers in the area, they had the respect of the street, they had all the nice stuff, the cleanest Impalas the newest Escalades. But amongst all that nonsense was a great admiration for Junior Seau, that everyone felt, he was the hometown hero, one of the most known and respected guys that made it from our time period and our city. I recently had the honor and pleasure to spend a holiday at his home in Oceanside with him and some of his family, where I was so welcomed and forced to eat so much good food, Junior kept saying “Luke ! eat ” I will cherish that memory and the memory of his life.
One of my best/oldest friends Rob Ruiz is a world class chef out of Oceanside, and would cook for him and his family from time to time, and thats how the connection was made.
I am not a sports fan, but Im a big fan of good people. Junior was a good person and will be missed greatly here on earth, as the earth needs more people like him. Rest in Power big homie, Thanks for all the good. Respect #55
