The past week we all started seeing a SOS signal from our family at the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum all over the main social media sites; Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook wondering how we can help. For those of you that are not familiar with the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum, it is the first museum that is totally dedicated to tattooing. It shows the world’s largest Tattoo collection, collected by Henk ‘Hanky Panky’ Schiffmacher. I was fortunate enough to be there for the grand opening last year in November, I was blown away when I arrived and at that moment I walked in the museum I felt it’s relevance for us proud tattooers, collectors, and tattoo culture novices alike. They have had some issues keeping it open during its first year here do to some tricky partnership arrangements and financial burdens. At this moment the museum is in fear of being shout down as it has been forcefully closed. Please do anything you can to help, even if that just spreading the word. “it is our future, and our future is not worth anything without our past” -Hank S

I spent quite a few days surfing with Donald, mostly just down the road from his shop on Oceanside Blvd. He was a Master surfboard shaper/designer and will be missed. RIP DT Hawaiian Pro Designs
This has been a real interesting week in New York City, full of lessens in patience, gratitude, friendship, and endurance. I have not been without electricity since the last time I went camping, and the only difference is I was ready for that and geared up appropriately. Here are Some photos from Hurricane Sandy New York. (more…)
I will be spending some time with some of my good friends including Chris Nunez and Ross Nagle in the next few weeks. First I’m paying a short visit to my dear friends at Allstar Ink Tattoo in Limerick City Ireland. The only other shop I would visit besides Classic Ink in Dublin….
…Then we are off to Notting Hill London where our good friend Ami James will be opening his Love Hate Social Club Tattoo Parlor.
I will be working the opening week with Ross Nagle, Ami James, Chris Nunez, Tommy Montoya, Grant Cobb and Charlie Roberts. It’s going to be a mad house. Make sure you get booking your appointments to avoid disappointment. Also there will be some of the best tattooers from around the globe rotating through the shop including all from above plus Freddy Corbin, Greg Christian, Darren Brass, BJ Betts, Marco Serio and plenty more.

My friend Cm Punk’s new DVD “Cm Punk : Best in the world ” is set to be release on October 9th 2012 (today) a 3-disc DVD that has been called “one of the best WWE documentaries ever”. I happened to be in Chicago at the same time he was home and got a copy of his DVD last week. This documentary is a really great watch. It takes us through the long journey of his career and the many obstacles he has faced to get to the point he is at. (more…)
This year I made it back to London, I travelled with my good friend Forrest, owner of Cobra Custom Tattoo in Plymouth MA. We had a short trip but we most certainly made the best of it , and enjoyed every minute of it. It was good to be in a far off place and be surrounded with so many loved ones. I cant thank tattooing enough for all it has given me. Also special thanks to Mo and all his great staff at The Family Business for the hospitality.
I’ll be hanging at the london tattoo convention a bit this weekend, Im really looking forward to seeing some of my favorite people / tattooers from all over the world. #JET$ET
