Had the pleasure of sitting down with some of the great people of The Coveteur for a up coming feature. Keep yours eyes peeled for that.
Election Day is still a few months away, but fans attending On The Run Tour: Beyonce and JAY Z will get an artistic reminder to vote – courtesy of the tattoo artist Luke Wessman and the non-profit organization HeadCount.org. <full interwiev
Wessman designed a limited-edition postcard highlighting the phrase “#GoVote,” which will be available at HeadCount’s voter registration tables on most stops of the tour. Fans can sign a “Pledge to Vote” on the back of each postcard. HeadCount will then mail each person the postcard with their signature just before the November election.”
“Thank you Headcount and Roc Nation.” L
Coming Soon ~ The PMA machine, brought to you by @lukewessman and @timhendricks. $100 from every sale of a limited edition PMA Machine will go to a foundation, charity or good cause, each quarter year we will pick a new one to donate to. This quarter will be onelifeonechance.com. OLOC’s mission is to engage and inspire elementary, middle and high school students to make healthy choices and live a Drug Free life. This is what PMA means to us: PMA is a acronym for Positive Mental Attitude. For us it traces back to a book from 1960 by Napoleon Hill called “Success through a Positive Mental Attitude” by way of our dear friend @tobymorse (lead singer of H2O). We have our whole bodies full of tattoos, some profound statements, some mark great journeys, memorials, or just great moments, but the PMA tattoo is something special. It is useful in our daily lives as we find ourselves with may moments and interactions that desire one of two choices, positivity or negativity. So we get PMA tattooed on us, it isn’t necessarily because we are happy and super positive all the time, no, we get it to give ourselves a constant reminder that we have a choice. Choose PMA, it’s always the best choice.
I had the pleasure and honor of being featured on a great new site for women called Porn For Women Thank you Sarah.
“Luke Wessman is a gentleman, in every sense of the word. The self-made tattoo artist hailing from Southern California, works at Wooster Street Social Club in New York City. At the Beverly Hills home of fashion designer Max Azria, we sat down to discuss his philosophy on being a gentleman, friendship, and one of his most important tattoos.”
Tonight I sit down with Oliver, Dave, and Chris to help judge this weeks episode of Inkmaster. I have a love hate relationship with tattoo “reality” shows. Like many of my peers its hard to see our beloved profession dumbed down to be consumed by the masses for entertainment, for that I hate it. But I love how it has helped some of my dear friends.
I would have loved to have been on a earlier episode where I could have really went off on the bad work being done. But at this stage of the competition, only six artist left, and they are all good tattooers. At this point it was really just nit picking the details as all the tattoos were great. Tune in next week to see what I say. Tuesday the 30th 10pm eastern time Spike TV
