Found it ! So my brother Brian and our nephew Jake were in town the last few days, it was Jakes first time in NY and we were doing as much tourist things as possible. Also on the agenda was find the new September issue of “Freshly Inked Magazine” with my mug on the cover. We found it at the 3rd place we looked, a Barnes & Noble, they had a stack of five, so we decided to leave one. I don’t know if you ever had your face on the cover of a magazine at a book store or a newsstand, but let me tell you its a pretty great feeling. I’m very thankful and happy to see some fruits of my labor, I’m blessed. Thanks again to Freshly Inked mag for letting me wear a suit, thanks to all my friends who always support me and wish me well, I’m nothing without you guys. It makes me proud to make my friends proud. We are all self made.
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday with a sneak peak of the September issue of Freshly Inked Magazine, set the hit stands next week. I am very pleased with the picture, and honored to be on the cover.
I always joke that the fashion world has shown more love then my own industry, and then this cover happened out of the blue. But I’ve always said “I don’t represent tattooing, and tattooers…I represent myself, my friends, my family, and hard work” Life is more about personal relationship, then a culture or a career. Be good to people and good things happen.
This year my dear friend Tim Hendricks and I will be working together again at the Ink n’ Iron in Long Beach on the Queen Mary. Tim and I will be doing some tattooing, saying hi to friends, and selling some of the things we sell. I will also be releasing the Rose Book that I have been working on for the last year. Please stop by and say hello, will see you guys there.

For its grand release, I will be selling it at the Ink & Iron this year on June 7th, 8th, and 9th, which is a great place to pick it up and have it signed by some of the guys in it. My friend Fernando Mazza is from Brazil, he has been spending this past month in town and has become a friend and client. Fernando is the cousin of my friend Rodrigo who works with me at Wooster Social. I was really impressed with his work and it was a honor to put some of mine on him. He came to Ny to work on a project for a magazine called Mens Moments Magazine and I’m proud to say I was apart. We shot a full day at Wooster aka NYInk. It was nice to be shot by a friend which whom I have respect for.

I’m not a big TV watcher these days, but I’m beginning to value a little time to just shut off and relax. I’ve gotten into a couple shows, one of them being Game Of Thrones on HBO, I always say “if you liked Gladiator or Braveheart you’ll love this show”. If you have not seen this show yet, lucky you because you can watch all 2 seasons that are waiting for you. (more…)
