I had the pleasure of being on Invisible Radio Yesterday, Episode 2. Troy Denning is a legendary tattoo artist and a very intelligent man, he commands a great podcast with a mixture of wit and knowledge. The wide verity of guest and the everyday shenanigans makes for a very entertaining show. I have faith that it will be a hit, already being on the “new & noteworthy” section doesn’t hurt either. Good luck Troy I look forward to more episodes. Thanks for having me on my friend. CS GPF
PS That monologue Troy gives at the end of episode 2 is so good.
“Education begins the gentleman, but reading, good company and reflection must finish him.” A post about “Good company” on the @lostartofthegentleman Instagram page. A page you should be following on Instagram if you don’t already. #lostartoftheg #blossomball
I have always thought there is a strong connection between tattooing and cooking. A chef much like a tattooer is an artist and in most cases passionate about their product.
When I was in California this last trip, I made a point to get out in the water no matter how shitty the waves were, and they were shitty. Despite the surf being flat Tim, Brian, and myself had back to back to back sunset surf sessions, and just had the best time. Surfing just like life is always better with a good attitude regardless of the surf. Friendship reigns supreme.
Although my new exclusive shop is not officially open yet, I did end up finishing off my dear friend Sheldon’s sleeve on Saturday. The private studio doesn’t have a name yet and the location will never be made public. You will have to be a friend, or a friend of a friend to be able to get tattooed here, and It’s not that I’m “too cool” to make public, it’s that my clients are. #firstdollar
A painting I made for my people at Violent Gentleman, They held a Olympic Hockey themed art show during the olympics this year. Great art show, great company.
I had the pleasure of tattooing my friend Jamie from Scotland today, I was a long session, 6 hours to be exact, but since he came from “across the pond” I don’t mind going the distance. Great client, now friend. We finished his other arm last year and are just about finished with this one. I don’t get to do this pointalism style that often, I think due to the guys who “specialize” in it, I love the look and feel of it and was happy to do it all day today. (more…)
