Attention all tattooers: Dan Dringenberg had approximately 20 machines stolen recently in the San Francisco area. Here is a list of all the machines with descriptions and their numbers. If you encounter someone attempting to sell any one of these machines please take the necessary course of actions. This picture below can be easily downloaded and printed out for any shop to keep as reference for the ‘shady’ machine vendors. Please keep your eyes and ears open, we all owe it to tattooing to help each other out. Thank you

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfit. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do, is ignore them because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. Because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs RIP (Advertisement from Apple Computer, adapted from the writings of Jack Kerouac

The tattooing is a very special unique community, tattooing is a job but it also is very much a lifestyle and a passion. Our friend Forrest and when I say “Our” I mean the real tattoo community, and when I say “real tattoo community” I mean the tattooers that have given their lives to tattooing completely. Yes, the final product, the tattoo is very important as the client will wear it for the rest of his/ her life, but part of the tattoo is the energy the soul put into it by the artist. Now if you sell a product that you don’t believe in then you are doing a great injustice to the craft of tattooing to the soul of tattooing and in turn the tattoos you do on people. You are not and will not be recognized as a tattooer if you do tattoos and do not have any on you. A bald wig salesman, a virgin sex therapist, a toothless dentist, a atheist priest… Mahatma Gandhi said it best “To believe in something, and not live it is dishonest”
Support the the real tattoo community not some culture vultures like the jamies on inkmaster.
GO HERE AND “LIKE” COBRA AND SUPPORT THE REAL TATTOOERS LEFT IN THE WORLD.

The past week we all started seeing a SOS signal from our family at the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum all over the main social media sites; Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook wondering how we can help. For those of you that are not familiar with the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum, it is the first museum that is totally dedicated to tattooing. It shows the world’s largest Tattoo collection, collected by Henk ‘Hanky Panky’ Schiffmacher. I was fortunate enough to be there for the grand opening last year in November, I was blown away when I arrived and at that moment I walked in the museum I felt it’s relevance for us proud tattooers, collectors, and tattoo culture novices alike. They have had some issues keeping it open during its first year here do to some tricky partnership arrangements and financial burdens. At this moment the museum is in fear of being shout down as it has been forcefully closed. Please do anything you can to help, even if that just spreading the word. “it is our future, and our future is not worth anything without our past” -Hank S
