You really stumble upon so much when you surf the interweb, I was just surfing a bit and I was just thinking it was about time to add a little female art to my blog as it has been too long. Here we have model, Viktoria Sekrier, photographed by Jenny Brough from Nyachii’s Blog I really love this Photographers work, I love the style and the vivid colors she brings out. Beautiful.
“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfit. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do, is ignore them because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. Because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs RIP (Advertisement from Apple Computer, adapted from the writings of Jack Kerouac
A painting for my friend Stephen
Today I tattooed this really nice kids ribcage, the tattoo took about 4 and a 1/2 hours. but was a tough one, any time your taking non stop pain for hours on end you really start to test the limitations of your tolerance. Luckily we made it though. Cool tattoo. “Count your blessings, not your burdens”
Im proud to announce my brother Brian and Dianna are now engaged to be married. I Back this event. welcome to the family Dianna. Love neon signs. Watch
I had such a short trip last weekend to Miami, and the main reason of the trip was to go to support my friend Chris Nunez with his new tattoo shop opening. Hand Crafted But it was Art Basel that weekend and I got to pull away for a bit to check out the “Wynwood” district which always has amazing walls painted by some of the most talented graffiti and street artist, I really like this one, strong message.
“The wolves will stop at nothing to get at that which is most precious to you, it is up to you to protected it”
Dave Navarro on his radio show “Dark Matter” Featuring Oliver Peck and Tattoo Forrest discussing Inkmaster contestant jamie and his elimination. Dave quotes me on quoting a Mahatma Gandhi quote “To believe in something, and not live it is dishonest” on the radio show, thanks Dave.
The tattooing is a very special unique community, tattooing is a job but it also is very much a lifestyle and a passion. Our friend Forrest and when I say “Our” I mean the real tattoo community, and when I say “real tattoo community” I mean the tattooers that have given their lives to tattooing completely. Yes, the final product, the tattoo is very important as the client will wear it for the rest of his/ her life, but part of the tattoo is the energy the soul put into it by the artist. Now if you sell a product that you don’t believe in then you are doing a great injustice to the craft of tattooing to the soul of tattooing and in turn the tattoos you do on people. You are not and will not be recognized as a tattooer if you do tattoos and do not have any on you. A bald wig salesman, a virgin sex therapist, a toothless dentist, a atheist priest… Mahatma Gandhi said it best “To believe in something, and not live it is dishonest”
Support the the real tattoo community not some culture vultures like the jamies on inkmaster.
