A really nice guy from New Zealand got his first tattoo from me the other day at Wooster, skulls and roses half sleeve here all done basically in one shot . You really cant go wrong with skulls and roses, they are timeless classics. Normally I would suggest starting higher on the arm and working your way down, but I still have some tradition tattoo ideals. I do also recognize change and find myself budging a bit with the changing times. He can still wear long sleeve no problem and arm tattoos don’t seem to be taboo at all any more.

When I tattoo old friends its really interesting because they have some “vintage” Luke work usually and doing new work up against that older stuff is a bit of a contrast and a visual timeline. My friend Rob Ruiz is one of my dearest friends and in a way I credit him for not following in a gang related lifestyle that was prominent where we were growing up. But thats a story for another day. Here we have his hand and a somewhat awkward space that I think we filled perfectly if I do say so myself.
Baby Ray from Spotlight Tattoo. These Tattoo Stories on Sanction Tv are very legit. Watch them.
Amazing time at Oliver Peck’s tattoo marathon in Dallas. Nothing like spending time with dear friends. Friendship to me has always meant so much. When you grow up with friends instead of your actual family your friendships become family. I would do anything for my friends at any moment but that goes without saying. True friends never talk about you behind your back, but speak up for you if someone is. Thank you to my friends who are now family. Champaign for my real friends and real pain for my sham friends.
I’m very honored to announce that I will be tattooing non stop at Oliver Peckers friday the 13th annual tattoo marathon this friday starting at 12am. See you there.
One of the ideas of getting a 13 tattoo is that getting one tattooed on you wards off bad luck because it tricks bad luck as it approaches and thinks you already have it, in turn making it good luck.
I grew up working as a young kid, My brother and I would collect cans on at the beach in my hometown of Oceanside. At that young age I learned that hard Work Pays, do the work get the money seemed like a no brainer. I learned the respect for societies labor force, the men and women who work so hard to better their lives and the lives of their families, meanwhile adding to the country by all types of professions. As a kid I knew I personally had to work hard to survive and as I got older I realized that I didn’t want to just survive I wanted to thrive. I learned the value of smart work mixed with hard work, and thats where I am now, working as hard and smart as I can, luckily I really like what I do. I come form little and may never fully enjoy my success, but my family will. Happy Labor Day ! to all the people that work and keep this great country functioning and growing. “Work like a slave eat like a king” (more…)
