I would have loved to have been on a earlier episode where I could have really went off on the bad work being done. But at this stage of the competition, only six artist left, and they are all good tattooers. At this point it was really just nit picking the details as all the tattoos were great. Tune in next week to see what I say. Tuesday the 30th 10pm eastern time Spike TV

The Big Egg Hunt NY is coming to an end. You are now able to bid on this thing on the website. The very special thing about this one is, in over 15 years of painting I have done my best to never sell and any original artwork. I have painted tirelessly for over 15 years very consistently. Now since this one is for charity and out of my hands its a Luke Wessman original for sale, one of the very few. at the moment its only at 600$ which is nothing for such a unique art piece. It is a little big and hard to hang on your wall, but its a true art collectors dream.
One of my rose tattoo designs has been entered in @ApothicWine’s Rose Tattoo promotion! Follow the link to vote for mine ! http://bit.ly/1nu4DN6 My friend Mary Joy from Tattoo city did one also that is great. but vote for me. Thanks.
The morning after the #tapastattoos event at the W hotel union sq. Sergi and I had to fulfill our part of the bargain. He got the tattoo that won the vote from the night before and I had to apply it. It was great working with the W, its event staff and Sergi. A great progressive event for a great progressive company.
This Statue Of Liberty girl head was a fun one, although if you know me you know how I dislike the “day of the dead” face paint tattoo craze/trend. I don’t like the idea of taking a beautiful woman’s face and mudding it up with a bunch of nonsense. So on this one, I did my best to let this woman’s face stay as beautiful as possible. I have a huge respect for this in real life and know its a important part of the mexican culture, which I grew up very involved with in San Diego. Let the beautiful woman live for ever as tattoos and let the real life “day of the dead” celebration last on those few special days every year.
Tomorrow night 4/16 I have the pleasure of co hosting a special event with my friend Sergi Arola and the W Hotel NYC. “Tattoos and Tapas” We will be helping Sergi pick his next tattoo, enjoying some tapas, and great company.
